Celia Martin Steps Up to ALMS and ELMS with Iron Dames
08/12/2024

Michelin Le Mans Cup racer Celia Martin is taking part in her first Asian Le Mans Series race weekend after stepping up with Iron Dames, competing alongside ELMS and FIA WEC race winners Sarah Bovy and Michelle Gatting in the no85 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

24 Hours of Nürburgring race winner Martin joined the Iron Dames at the start of the 2024 season, competing in the Michelin Le Mans Cup alongside Swiss driver Karen Gaillard. The German based French driver scored a pole position at Le Castellet in only her second race driving the Lamborghini Huracan and the pair went on to take second place in the GT3 category at the end of the 110-minute race.

With Sarah Bovy moving from bronze to silver next season in the driver rankings, Celia Martin has been chosen to fill the vacant bronze driver position in the European Le Mans Series squad next year and has joined her ELMS teammates in the ALMS to gain some valuable experience ahead of what is hoped will be a championship challenge in the ELMS LMGT3 category.

We caught up with Celia after the second Free Practice session in Sepang to talk about her Michelin Le Mans Cup season and the move to the Asian Le Mans Series.
