Today is set up day at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, with all of the Asian Le Mans Series teams unpacking their containers and setting up their garages in preparation for this weekend’s exciting season finale in United Arab Emirates.
CHAMPIONSHIP DECIDER
With a maximum 52 points still available from the two races in Abu Dhabi, the 2024/25 ALMS titles will most likely be decided in the final race of the season on Sunday evening.
In LMP2 the top three cars are split by just 9 points. The no25 Algarve Pro Racing (72 pts) is leading by just 3 points from the no30 RD Limited (69 pts), with race 4 winners no20 Algarve Pro Racing in third on 63 points. Also don’t discount the no83 AF Corse, which is just 19 points behind the championship leaders.
In LMP3 the title race is just as tight with the no35 Ultimate (70 pts) just 3 points ahead of the no26 Bretton Racing (67 pts) and 5 points ahead of the no49 High Class Racing (65 pts). Race 4 winners no15 RLR MSport head to Abu Dhabi on 50 points and still in the chase for the LMP3 crown.
The GT Championship is headed by the #81 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG on 60 points, 15 points ahead of the no92 Manthey EMA Porsche (45 pts) and 17 points ahead of the Round 3 winning no96 2 Seas Motorsport Mercedes-AMG and the no10 Manthey Porsche, which are tied on 43 points after four races.

TIMETABLE
The event begins on Friday with two 90-minute Free Practice sessions, the first at 16h30 GST/ 13h30 CET and the second at 19h45 GST / 16h45 CET
Saturday will see two Qualifying sessions, starting with the 15-minute GT session at 10h50 GST / 07h50 CET and the LMP session at 11h15 GST / 08h15 CET.
Race 1 will get underway on Saturday afternoon at 15h00 GST / 12h00 CET, with the chequered flag four hours later.
Sunday will see a 15-minute warm up session at 11h30 followed by final race of the 2024/25 season at 16h30 GST / 13h30 CET.
